Watched Yaavarum Nalam today! Well-made movie! It is refreshing to see movies like these in the middle of “Boy Meets Girl” or “Dhadha/Hitman” type movies! Yaavarum Nalam belongs to the ghost thriller category. The cast is exceptional! Everyone has acted their part very well. The songs were so so. Didn’t impress me much. Background score was good, kept us in the edge of the seat. Neetu Chandra is good. Loved Chinmayi‘s dubbing for Neetu Chandra. Wonderful job by Chinmayi. Saranya is her usual best! Madhavan and Ravi Babu have acted well! The TV serial crew are so perfect! The last scene was cute which paves the way for a sequel. The only problem I saw was the camera. I hated the shaky camera whenever there was a spooky scene. During the scenes which demands your concentration, the camera shake is very distracting. Another minor annoyance is that the entire family other than Madhavan never supsects a thing. One keeps wondering why they are so blind! The director Vikram K Kumar is very promising!
Overall the movie is a must watch (especially in the theatres)!
P.S I figured out who the villain is 5 minutes after the interval before my other half, cousin and his friend!! Man! I should have become a detective! 🙂
This and That 
It is a great movie, I watched the Hindi version 13B. I too had the same question,how come none of the ladies in the household never relate to anything that is happening. Especially when it is scene by scene.
And I too guesses the villian 🙂 Just a hunch that they introduced the ********’s character out of ordinary and it had to have some relevance..Oops…I spilled the beans.

“I figured out who the villain is 5 minutes after the interval” – Impressive! I didn’t get it until it was spelled out(when Maddy is locked in the room) and was actually thinking it was another character 🙂

btw.. we saw ‘vennila kabadi kuzhu’.. do see it when u get a chance.. didn’t expect it to be that good, but enjoyed it a lot.
Will start thinking about the name! Vennila kabadi kuzhu. Will try to find the DVD.

Errr, I watched the movie too. And I just had this vague thought that the *villain* could be the villain. But YY, what photo are you talking about? The photo that gave you the clue, endha photo adhu?
