After any gun-related death, I read, “guns don’t kill people, people do” in the comment section. I agree, but it makes it easier to kill. No denying that! If not for the easy availability of the gun, this (6 months ago) and this (2 days back) wouldn’t have been this easy. God rest the souls of those children. My heart goes out to them.

Encountered a small tremor when I was in a meeting 30 minutes back! These small earthquakes are really fun. I still get excited even after encountering these from time to time for the past 11 years. Saw this big band of rainbow a month back on my morning commute and got excited.
These excitements turn to happiness only after I share this with a friend/family. Is it the same for everyone or am I alone here? Everytime I see something cool or encounter anything slightly interesting, I MUST share it with someone. If not it is not complete?
For the earthquake, called and left a message for the other half and waited until he called back. Tried calling Boo, but the call didn’t go through. The other half just called, now it is complete. For the rainbow, called husband and Boo, couldn’t reach them. Finally shared it with sister in law! If I got to a restaurant and like it, must take friends/family there. Until then I don’t rest. And the list goes on…

Work! Hmm.. Whenever I get bored of my work, this is what keeps me going back?
- Rolling green (so green that one would think that it is not real) hills in spring and brown hills in summer
- Cows on the hills and their Moos
- Pink almond blossoms in the field of mustard yellow flowers, one has to see it to appreciate it
- Occasional 7 coloured rainbows over the hills
- Rare snow covered peaks
- Peeking of the full moon from behind the hills
- Jack rabbits and squirrels on the hiking trail behind the campus
- Occassional Cayote
- Hike in the hills watching the lizards, squirrels and looking out for the snakes
- 22 mile commute which takes only 25 minutes on car
- Last but not the least, the colourful human interaction
So what makes you go back?
P.S. I have not mentioned the all important MONEY that keeps me motivated to go back since that is the most common reason for the most.

Watched Yaavarum Nalam today! Well-made movie! It is refreshing to see movies like these in the middle of “Boy Meets Girl” or “Dhadha/Hitman” type movies! Yaavarum Nalam belongs to the ghost thriller category. The cast is exceptional! Everyone has acted their part very well. The songs were so so. Didn’t impress me much. Background score was good, kept us in the edge of the seat. Neetu Chandra is good. Loved Chinmayi‘s dubbing for Neetu Chandra. Wonderful job by Chinmayi. Saranya is her usual best! Madhavan and Ravi Babu have acted well! The TV serial crew are so perfect! The last scene was cute which paves the way for a sequel. The only problem I saw was the camera. I hated the shaky camera whenever there was a spooky scene. During the scenes which demands your concentration, the camera shake is very distracting. Another minor annoyance is that the entire family other than Madhavan never supsects a thing. One keeps wondering why they are so blind! The director Vikram K Kumar is very promising!
Overall the movie is a must watch (especially in the theatres)!
P.S I figured out who the villain is 5 minutes after the interval before my other half, cousin and his friend!! Man! I should have become a detective! 🙂
