Vacation vs Traveling

Filed under: Uncategorized — yaadayaada @ 5:35 am

Traveling is not Vacation! Came to this realization after all these years!! We are planning to vist Boo and from there Italy for a week. Planning for a trip is a pain in the you know where!! Boo’s Hd had been great help in booking the train, finding the hotels etc. Boo had been excellent in planning the trip. We have guide books from Rick Steves to Frommers to Fodors to lonely planet to Eyewitness travel from friends/library strewn around the house. Inspite of all these help, still it seems like a daunting task. Probably will need a vacation after coming back from Italy. I am glad that we will be staying in Boo’s place for 4-5 days before we come back home! This is traveling.

Vacation is our cruise family reunion and our cancun trip.

  1. I’m 1 of those who actually likes the planning part! I find that finding hotels, checking out places to visit, things to do, etc. is quite fun and helps build anticipation about the trip. Just gotta hope the trip isn’t a let down after all that planning. And in ur case, considering the places u’re gonna see and the people u’re gonna visit, that just isn’t possible 🙂

  2. Actually I love planning. But this time, too many things are going on simultaneously that I don’t have the time to plan 😦

  3. You mean, Im sending you list after list of what I need from there and making you too busy? Hmpf! I knew it!!

Balaji – I get a high out of planning too! Reading the guide book and visualizing the place and then to actually experience it is really something, right?! 🙂 That reminds me, too long since I visited some place exciting! (Cruise excluded ofcourse, so dont pounce on me YY! 😉
