Ha Ha Ha!

I love Kadalai mittai aka chikki aka peanut brittle. This time I brought some from India. It is so funny!

It has “Supper taste” and it is made of “Crounut, Seasum, liquid clucose“, etc. I should use it  “Best before 3 months from packaging“.

Can someone tell me how I can use it 3 months before packaging? All said and done, it did taste good and is still making us laugh hard! Take a look at this for yourself, if you don’t believe me!

Supper taste!

There is a road side shop on old airport road that spells “Krackery” for crockeries.
May be its tastes better after supper. ha ha!

seri was it 30 rs? I cannot believe that a bar of kadalamittai costs thirty rupees. I remember buying a bite sized piece for 25 paise!

Krackery, maybe they are made of Krackjack biscuits!!

Looks like you are still living in the 80s.. :-) Yup it is Rs.30. That is because it is from a small town in Tamil Nadu. If it was Chennai, it would have been even more.

So did you have it for ‘Supper’? I am sure you must have enjoyed it. I remember that Nut-brittle you made for Diwali….only a person who loves Kadalamittai would make that :) As I did copy yours..

Maybe they meant : Best Before – 3 months from packaging. Then it would have made sense.

Actually, it should say ‘Don’t worry about the expiry date, it won’t last that long. It will be Swahaha…by then’.

Hey.. How did you find out? Yes it is! My mom got those for me. They are Chennapatna wooden dolls from Karnataka. I will upload a brighter picture soon.

As for the marappachi bommai, my 70+ year old grandmom dressed them up.
